Lump in Breast

Although the majority of breast lumps are not cancerous, any lump should be taken seriously until it was declared it was not cancer. Here are some common types of lumps in the breast.

Cyst
Cysts are lumps in the breast that appears at the end of the menstrual cycle and generally not dangerous. After the menstrual period, type this lump usually disappears. Breast cysts are fluid-filled bag that tends to swell at the end of the menstrual cycle when the body holds more fluid.

The size of the cyst is small and there are big to the size of eggs. When massaged, the cyst could slightly change the shape and most are able to move under the skin. Cysts can also appear at the age of 40 years, several years before menopause.

Fibroadenoma
Fibroadenoma is a breast lump is not a cyst or cancer. These benign tumors most often develop in the years to middle age (still birth). Fibroadenoma feels like a solid mass, smooth, strong and elastic, with a clear form. Fibroadenoma develops when the connective tissue grows in the glands or lobules of the breast.

Other Lumps
Other types of breast lumps, including due to infection or bleeding due to injury. Bumps are caused by a tumor called a lipoma or fatty tissue. Lump in the breast can also be caused by papilloma intraduktal, especially if this clogged causing cysts. All these conditions are not cancerous.

To determine whether a lump in the breast hazardous or not, the doctor will examine using ultrasound and mammography. In a single lump that feels like a cyst, your doctor will probably suck the liquid from the inside by using a fine needle. If the fluid may be aspirated and the lump and then disappears, this indicates that the lump was a cyst.
